The management of First Technical University Ibadan calls interested candidates to apply for admission into the 2024 / 2025 academic session. Although First Technical University Ibadan is owned by the State Government of Oyo, the school management has stated that admission will be open to all irrespective of tribe, race, sex or political leanings. What are the mode of Entry and Requirements for TECH-U Post UTME/DE 2024 Admission?
The following are the mode of Entry and requirements for TECH-U Post UTME/DE 2024:
UTME Entry Mode / Requirements
Candidates for the Post UTMe must obtain a minimum of five credit level passes in their Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE). This is the final year examination (WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB) which is O-level. The five relevant subjects must include Mathematics and English language, Physics and Chemistry. Also, applicants using the UTME mode must have an acceptable score (140) in their UTME relevant subject combinations. Click here to view JAMB subject combination to avoid mistakes. Lastly, candidates must have to meet individual departments (programmes) and faculty requirements before being offered admission.
Direct Entry Mode / Requirements
Candidates using the Direct Entry mode and applying for any programme under the faculty of Engineering and Technology must have at least passes in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics at GCE A-Level or its equivalent. Furthermore, applicants who are holders of National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) must have a minimum of upper credit. Those without a minimum of Upper Credit will not be considered for admission but those with it will be considered for admission into 200 and 300 levels respectively. Then for programmes in the faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, applicants must have at least passes (Graded A – E) at their GCE Advanced Level (A-Level) in at least two relevant subjects.
Inter-University Transfer Mode / Requirements
This is another mode of entry for TECH-U Post UTME/DE 2024. Here, students can transfer into 200 level of the institution. This can only happened if they have the relevant qualifications. The individual faculties of First Technical University Ibadan is to satisfy itself that the grades obtained by such applicants are acceptable by the faculty.
How to register for TECH-U Post-UTME/DE 2024
Interested applicants must use the following guidlines for a successful application.
- First, visit any JAMB accredited CBT centre to purchase a change of institution / course and change to First Technical University Ibadan as your first choice institution.
- Then upload your O-level result(s) on JAMB CAPS. Direct Entry candidates must upload their O-level result(s) alongside their Advanced Level certificate on JAMB CAPS in Addition.
- Lastly, UTME Entry candidates with Awaiting Result (O-Level) can apply. They must upload their results immediately the examination bodies releases such result. Those who do not upload the O-level result will not be given admission.
