JOB OBJECTIVE

The objective of the job is to ensure compliance to statutory and also regulatory requirements. Further ensuring smooth regulatory relationship – vix Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), National Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) etc. To also ensure timely rendition of returns to regulators. Lastly, to ensuring completeness and overall accuracy of returns to regulators and zero penalty arising from inaccurate or late rendition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Firstly, to deliver accurate and prompt financial and statistical information to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation.
  • Secondly, generating Consolidated Trial Balance from the Banks’s core application (EBS).
  • The duty and responsibility of creating and population of all working templates for preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual bank’s returns.
  • More so, the duty and responsibility of obtaining all supporting schedules from relevant departments for preparation of returns.
  • To prepares the statutory returns for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on a daily, monthly, and quarterly, half yearly and annual basis on CBN DCS platform.
  • Also responsible to prepares the Statutory Parastatals returns for CBN on a bi-monthly basis.
  • Duty of submitting promptly and correct financial returns to regulators within stiputlated time.
  • Will also respond efficiently to any queries which may arise from the returns to CBN / NDIC
  • Duty of providing requirements for CBN / NDIC on site examination.
  • Responsibility of providing explanation and also ensuring resolution of issues raised during CBN / NDIC on site examination.
  • Also provision of requirements for External and internal Audits.
  • To provide explanation and also ensuring resolution on issues raised during audit.
  • Responsible to perform some adhoc duties as may be required from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must have a minimum of First Degree in applied or social sciences
  • In addition, Higher Degree / Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or its equivalent is an added advantage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have a minimum working experience of two (2) years of relevant banking operations and financial control functions.
